The alleged sexual assault incident at Cornell University, and how poorly it was handled, has again raised discussion of consent to prominence. But consent isn't a concept limited to sexual situations; it governs all our relationships, personal and professional, and narrowing the focus leaves us with a lack of understanding of our power in social situations.
